So, I’m a few days late writing this since it’s now several days into 2024.
Many of you have been reading these articles I write since the very beginning (October 4, 2021). Some of you are brand new - maybe you came in around Christmas or the New Year.
Either way, I’m so thankful you take the time to read what I write from my studies in God’s word. All I’ve ever wanted to do with this platform is to help you study God’s word and encourage you to live your life focused on Jesus.
I’m grateful that God has blessed my writing and been gracious enough to allow me to serve Him and you in this way.
As I looked back over 2023, several things stood out to me, and I would like to share them with you.
The Growth of Centered on Christ.
One year ago, on January 1, 2023, Centered on Christ had 479 people subscribed to get the daily articles sent to their email. Exactly one year later, on January 1, 2024, Centered on Christ had 1,840 subscribers.
And those subscribers are located all around the world.
People from 49 states (only missing Maine) in the U.S. and from 63 different countries worldwide subscribe to have the Centered on Christ emails sent to them.
It has encouraged me to see that so many people are still interested in learning and knowing God’s word! God has blessed us with this opportunity to reach people worldwide with His gospel (Mark 16:15-16).
Some Articles Have a Greater Impact Than Others.
Two articles in Centered on Christ have really hit home with a lot of people. I know that because some of you have talked to me about it.
And those two articles were written by two of our guest writers: Robby Eversole, Jr. and Drew Suttles.
Robby’s article was his own story about his battle with drugs.
Drew’s story was published recently, where he talked about his dad’s suicide and the darkness of depression.
Both of these stories have had a profound impact on you and me. Hopefully, in the future, we can have more stories like these two.
Centered on Christ Articles Will Remain Free.
Substack is a really neat platform. It’s easy for me to use as a writer, and I think it’s easy for you to use as a reader.
Earlier in 2023, I turned on a feature where Substack allows readers to become paying subscribers or “supporters” of the Substacks they read - like Centered on Christ.
Several of you signed up to become a financial supporter (and I appreciate it!), but I don’t push or promote it because I’m not doing this to make money. All the weekly articles I write are free for everyone to read - regardless of whether you are a “supporter” or not.
I think Substack sends out emails to you occasionally wanting you to become a paying subscriber - because that’s how they make their money. But everything I write will always be available to you for free. You don’t have to pay money to read my articles.
And, Lord willing, I plan to keep it that way.

But if you’re new - you might like to check some of these out.
A Drug Dealer’s Journey Back to God by Robby Eversole, Jr.
Over time this list will keep changing, but I always find it interesting to see which articles people are reading the most.
2024 begins a new year in which we can continue to serve God.
I thank you for reading the article in Centered on Christ, and Lord willing, I look forward to focusing our lives on Jesus more in our studies together this year!
Congratulations Jameson! These days there seems to be an increasing hunger for God's Word as opposed to the cotton candy fluff coming out of so many churches these days. Keep on keeping on brother!
