Enjoyed the lesson on Joseph. The younger leading the older had to have been difficult to begin with! You would have to naturally feel inferior to your older brothers but apparently not in the text it is not mentioned.

The interesting thing about the Egyptian slavery is that they were free to leave Egypt for many years after Joseph had died.

We see that Job had left Egypt and set himself up. He was the son of Issachar, but did not live in Egypt but had left to go to Uz, which seems to be Edom, but it is not clear.

Israelites could have left Egypt, but they chose to stay, and many wanted to go back even after being freed!

Living under domination can be tempting if your food and shelter is provided, but eventually you will be more and more oppressed until you can't leave!

Freedom can be more difficult, and it requires relying on God to provide for you, but that was God's plan for us and for Israel, which is why he gave us the perfect law of liberty:

Jas_1:25  But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
