My sons have scripture tattoos. I saw the pain in their faces when they got them and decided I could do without tattoos.

The practice of branding is alive today! There are those who have gotten branded instead of a tattoo! I don’t know if I can go so far as to say that this is a sin under the NT, without being hypocritical! However I know for myself I wouldn’t want to do it!

Tattoos are 100% wrong and Galatians. Chapter 5 verse 19 through 21 specifically talking about deadly sins of the flesh, but if you read Leviticus.

It will tell you not to make cuts in your body and take marks of the ink. Also what Jesus was speaking with the pharisees and describes. He told them I am not here to change the laws of Moses but to fulfill them which has been spoken through the mouth of prophets. A lot of you on here are misleading people. You're gonna go straight to the hell, fire

1 Corinthians 6:15-20

[15] Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! [16] Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” [17] But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. [18] Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. [19] Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, [20] for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

The context is sexual immorality. However, the end is general.

Christians are not their own.

So glorify God in your body.

Are tattoos of any nature glorifying God?

Genesis 1:27-28

[27] So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.

[28] And God blessed them.

We are created in the image of God. God saw everything he made and said that “it was very good”. Are tattoos an improvement on “very good”?

You're really wrong about this. Tattooing is an act of sorcery. The Hidden Citadel recently did an entire series on the history of tattoos. You can check one of their articles here: https://hiddencitadel4.wordpress.com/2024/11/20/christians-and-tattoos-a-quick-guide/
