When my dad was preaching, he would take time throughout the week to leave his office and go into the auditorium and sit in the places in the pews where he knew families or individual Christians sat and pray specifically for that person or family.

When I was preaching, I would go into the small auditorium and practice my sermon and record it and listen to it! Other times I would go and sing alone, listening to the echo!

I wish I would have done this, and I wish I would not have taken that auditorium for granted, for I miss it so now!

I wish all pastors would take a moment to consider their congregation in this way. This is a compassionate way of looking at them. Thank you for sharing.

Mine does because she wants to hear how God will have her move according to the Spirit. He gives the message, but He also know how it needs to be ministered.
