Because of God’s great love for humanity, the price was paid for us.
The price that was paid shows His great love for us (John 3:16). While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:6-9).
God’s love for us allows us to be called the sons of God (1 John 3:1).
The price that was paid for us was nothing ordinary. It wasn’t silver or gold, but the precious blood of the only begotten Son of God (1 Peter 1:18-19). The Lamb of God has redeemed us to God by His blood (Revelation 5:9).
If we ever begin to doubt our worth, ask the question, “What is the blood of Jesus Christ worth?” God believes that we are worth the blood of His only begotten Son. Who are we to say we aren’t worth that price?
Because of the price that has been paid for us, the blood of Jesus, we should be concerned about honoring the sacrifice He made for us.
If we love Him and are thankful for what He has done, we will obey Him (John 14:15).
May we never be guilty of treating His sacrifice as unimportant (Hebrews 10:29-31).
