To make a trade, you first must know the value of what you are trading.
Before you answer the question, “Would you exchange your soul for anything” you need to know what your soul is worth.
Jesus told us the value of our soul.
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)
If you were to trade your soul for the whole world - you lost the trade. One soul is worth more than all the wealth and possessions of this world.
Jesus perfectly understands the value of your soul - which makes His sacrifice for us even more impressive.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus offered Himself in our place. Jesus was willing to give Himself (John 3:16) because of God’s great love for us.
Jesus knows what you are worth - and He died for you.
Will we live our life appreciating our worth and living for the One who values us?
