So many people are hurting or struggling with something every day.
Sometimes we know what others are going through; sometimes we don’t always know.
When you know what someone is facing, do what you can to strengthen them and build them up. One of the purposes of God’s Word is to “exhort” or “encourage” us.
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. (2 Timothy 4:2)
Perhaps someone is struggling with a sin in their life. You can encourage them to do what’s right.
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:1-2)
We all need help sometimes. We all need someone to be there for us. Let’s be there for each other.
Be on the lookout for someone you can encourage today. Be a voice to lift up your brethren and stir them up to do what’s right (Hebrews 10:24-25).
