Most of us have felt like a failure at least once in our life.
We’ve had moments in life when we believed no one wanted us, cared about us, or understood what we were going through.
When we feel like we are worthless, the Bible reveals what God thinks of us.
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. (Romans 5:6-9)
Paul told the Christians in Rome that when they were:
Without strength.
Ungodly.
Sinners.
When they were the enemy of God (Romans 5:10), Christ died for them. God’s love continues to be demonstrated to us by the death of Jesus on the cross for us.
Remember how much God loves you and what He has done for you whenever you struggle with your self-worth.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)
God and Jesus have demonstrated their great love for us. Will we return their love?
If you love Me, keep My commandments. (John 14:15)
