7 Things You Are Missing Without a Church Family
Jesus wants His followers involved in His church.
Jesus’ plan is for His disciples to have a community of people to walk with as they follow Him (Matthew 16:13-18).
The modern-day idea of a Christian following Jesus without a church family is foreign to the Bible. It’s not what God wants for His people.
I love my church family. You miss out on many things if you try to live the Christian life on your own.
You’re missing out on people who will help each other physically and spiritually (Acts 2:44-47).
You’re missing out on people who will rejoice with you during the good times and cry with you during the bad times (Romans 12:15).
You’re missing out on people who will help bring you back to God if you stray and will help you carry your baggage (Galatians 6:1-2).
You’re missing out on people who will encourage and strengthen you (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
You’re missing out on people who will keep praying for you (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
You’re missing out on people who will stir you up to keep doing what’s good and right (Hebrews 10:24-25).
You’re missing out on people running the race beside you, striving for our common goal (Hebrews 12:1-2).
My church family has helped me in more ways than I could possibly count over the years.
Knowing how much God loves us and how much the church loves us should motivate us to do all we can for the church. As Christians, we are all part of the body of Christ, and we all matter (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
Don’t miss out on the Lord’s church. Don’t miss out on the best family you will ever have.
